Flash flood and strong wind warning remains as TD03F moves slowly towards Fiji

A flash flood warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji as Tropical Depression TD03F slowly moves towards the group.

A strong wind warning also remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, as well as the northern Lau group.

The Nadi Weather Office says TD03F was located about 510 kilometres west-northwest of Yasawa-i-Rara, or about 675 kilometres west of Labasa, at 3 this morning.

They say it is drifting east-southeast at around 10 kilometres per hour.

The associated trough is expected to continue bringing rain across the country until tomorrow.

The Weather Office says possible impacts include flooding of drains, small streams, low-level bridges, Irish crossings, roads, and properties in low-lying areas.
