Finance Minister calls for confidence and compassion in the New Year

The year gone by tested our resolve, but it also showed the strength of our people, our businesses and our institutions.
In his New Year message, Minister for Finance Esrom Immanuel says through discipline, hard work and unity, they continued to stabilise the economy, support livelihoods and create opportunities for growth.

He says in the year ahead, the Government remains committed to responsible financial management, supporting small and medium businesses, attracting investment and creating jobs.

The Finance Minister says they will continue to focus on inclusive growth so that the benefits of development are felt by every family and community.

Immanuel has thanked workers, entrepreneurs, farmers, investors and public servants for their dedication and contribution to nation building.

He says their efforts are the foundation of our progress.

While wishing everyone good health, peace and prosperity, Immanuel says as we step into the New Year, let us move forward with confidence, compassion and a shared sense of purpose.
