Adi Salote Nailolo opened the scoring in the eighth minute after Fijiana dominated the opening exchanges.
Varanisese Qoro then extended Fiji’s lead three minutes later, chasing in from halfway to put the finishing touch on a flowing broken-play move featuring excellent link-up and wraparound skills.
Tanya Dhar and Sabay Lynam then scored for Hong Kong China to briefly put their side ahead as they dominated for 10 minutes midway through the first half, in a match between the two comeback sides from the opening weekend.
Qoro scored her second try shortly after the restart, slicing through the narrowest of gaps in the Hong Kong China defensive line as Fiji increased the attacking pressure.
Player of the match Atelaite Buna Ralivanawa and Merewairita Neivosa combined to score three more tries in the six minutes before half-time.
Ralivanawa’s first try of the two was particularly impressive, as she twice stayed in play near the touchline while holding off defenders to cross the line.
Neivosa’s try was a fine example of effective, high-speed link play.
Fiji could have taken their foot off the gas, but replacement Zipporah Sorokacika crashed over for Fiji’s seventh try just moments after coming on, 11 minutes into the second half.
Fiji extended their lead again 13 minutes from time when another replacement, Vasemaca Duva, accelerated on to the ball and raced untouched through the defence to score Fiji’s eighth and final try of the match.
Fijiana take on the Netherlands on Saturday at 4pm in Hong Kong.
