The Fiji Airways Men's 7s team recorded one win and one loss against Australia in the inaugural Kick On 7s event at Woollahra Oval in Rose Bay, Sydney, last night.
Fiji started strongly, edging Australia 10-0 in the opening game before suffering a 26-14 defeat in the second match.
Australia bounced back in Game 2, overpowering the Fijian side to level the series at one win each.
Both teams will meet again at 3pm this afternoon as part of a rugby quadruple-header ahead of the Bledisloe Cup.
The matches are part of both teams' preparations for the HSBC SVNS Series, which kicks off in Dubai on 28 and 29 November.
Meanwhile, the Australian Women's 7s team also recorded a 36-26 victory over New Zealand's Black Ferns 7s.
