Fiji falls short 14-12 after brillaint start in Cup QF

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team got off to a strong start, with Vuiviawa Naduvalo scoring a brilliant opening try after slicing through the South African defense to give Fiji a 5-0 lead.

Kavekini Tanivanuakula added Fiji’s second try, extending the advantage to 12–0.

Fiji’s disciplined defense kept the Blitzboks at bay despite several attacking opportunities from the South Africans.

However, Naduvalo was shown a yellow card late in the half, and South Africa capitalized on the numerical advantage.

A well-executed cross-field kick led to their first try, reducing the deficit before halftime. 12-7.

The cup semi final will be played later tonight.
