FICAC to disclose documents in relation to loss incurred in Volkswagen case
FICAC is expected to disclose documents in relation to the Volkswagen vehicle procurement case involving former Fijian Broadcasting Corporation CEO Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Chief Financial Officer Vimlesh Sagar’s, by this afternoon.

Sayed-Khaiyum and Sagar’s respective counsel have been requesting details regarding the loss incurred as a result of the alleged offence.

The court was also informed that there are no agreed facts or documents between FICAC and the defence.

Sayed-Khaiyum and Sagar have both pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the tender and procurement of the 3.0-litre Volkswagen Touareg valued at $207,470.

The matter has been adjourned to 9th October to confirm that the defence has received the documents.

The trial remains scheduled to run from 2nd to 6th November.
