Rewa FC has received a timely boost ahead of their OFC Men's Champions League campaign after recording a convincing 4-0 victory over Suva FC in their Extra Premier League Round 16 match at Churchill Park.
The Delta Tigers produced a dominant performance, with goals from Josaia Sela, Asivorosi Rabo, Semi Matalau and Neemish Prasad securing all three points for Rewa.
Rewa’s strong performance will give the defending champions added confidence as they continue their push in the Extra Premier League.
The win comes at an important time for the Delta Tigers as they prepare to begin their OFC Men's Champions League campaign at Churchill Park next Saturday, where they will meet Vanuatu's Galaxy FC at 3pm.
Meanwhile, Navua FC also recorded a big win in Round 16, defeating Tailevu Naitasiri FC 7-2.
The result strengthens Navua’s position on the points table, while Tailevu Naitasiri’s battle to avoid relegation becomes tougher with only two rounds remaining.
Lautoka FC defeated Nadroga FC 3-1 at Churchill Park.
In yesterday's results, Ba FC defeated Labasa FC 2-1, while Nadi FC beat Nasinu FC 3-2.
