Expect the sound of gunshots and explosives in the months of May and June as the Republic of Fiji Military Forces will conduct training exercises at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua.
The RFMF says these exercises will involve the use of live ammunition, blank ammunition, and pyrotechnics for battle noise simulation.
The military says the activities are controlled training operations and will be carried out during both day and night.
Members of the public, especially residents living in and around Queen Elizabeth Barracks, are advised not to be alarmed during this period.
The RFMF assures the public that all necessary safety measures have been put in place prior to the commencement of these exercises.
