An asphalt milling machine blocking a public footpath along Selbourne Street in Suva has raised safety concerns, particularly for pedestrians and school students who use the route to access Suva's central business district.
The machine's arm is extending over the footpath, obstructing pedestrian access and posing a potential safety hazard.
fijivillage News has contacted the Suva City Council regarding the matter.
The Council has confirmed that a team has been deployed to assess the situation and address the issue.
The Council says officers will also meet with the owner of the asphalt milling machine to ensure the obstruction is removed and public safety is maintained.
