EFL announces scheduled power rationing in parts of Central Division
Energy Fiji Limited has announced a scheduled power rationing plan affecting parts of the Central Division today as repair works continue on the main transmission line.Under the arrangement, Nausori, Waileketu and Koronivia will experience outages this morning.

Deuba-Navua along Queen's Highway, Rewa Street and surrounding areas, including Laucala Bay, Cumming Street, parts of Suva, Samabula, Naboro, Tamavua and nearby areas will be affected this afternoon.

Meanwhile, from 6pm to 9pm, outages will impact Laucala Beach and Vatuwaqa areas, Lakeba Street, the Reserve Bank and surrounding locations.

EFL says the load shedding is being implemented in four blocks to ensure all customers receive some electricity during the day while restoration work continues.

EFL adds that the approach allows for a fair distribution of power as teams work to restore full supply as quickly and safely as possible.

Due to the damage, power supply in the Central Division remains severely limited.

Majority of residents in Ba are still without power since Tuesday morning.

In Rakiraki, Naria, Rarapatu, Volivoli and Ellington are still without power.

In Sigatoka, a number of areas remain without power.

In Lautoka, Tavakubu Village, Vunamoli Settlement, Saru MGM School and Vaivai are without power.

Parts of Nadi and Tavua are also experiencing outages.

EFL says they are working in these areas.
