Defending NRL champions, the Brisbane Broncos suffered their second loss this season after going down to the Parramatta Eels 40-32 last night.

The win came on the back of a destructive performance from stand-in second-rower Kelma Tuilagi and excellent performances across the spine, with Mitch Moses, Jonah Pezet and Isaiah Iongi leading the attack.

The Broncos looked strong early in the contest, crossing twice in the first 10 minutes and leading 20-6 after 26 minutes.

The home side let the Eels back into the contest with errors and penalties and they were made to pay, conceding the lead to face a two-point deficit at half-time.

The Eels maintained their composure in the second half and capitalised on the Broncos being unable to handle a series of Jonah Pezet grubber kicks, leading to tries that sealed the win for the Jason Ryles-coached side.

In other matches, the Warriors will take on the Raiders at 7 tonight, the Roosters will face the Rabbitohs at 9 tonight, the Wests Tigers will meet the Cowboys at 4pm tomorrow, the Dragons will play the Storm at 6.30pm tomorrow and the Panthers will face the Sharks at 8.35pm tomorrow.
