The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection is reminding all recipients under the Government’s six social protection programmes that the payment released on Tuesday, 28th April, was for the May Social Welfare Allowance.
They say they made the early payout to help recipients purchase essential goods and access important services before the fuel-related price increases that took effect on 1st May.
The Ministry says recipients are encouraged to use the assistance wisely to support household needs during this period.
