Fiji-born former USA 15s and 7s rugby player Adriu Durutalo, who is now the Director of Rugby Operations at the Hong Kong Football Club, welcomed the Fiji men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams to the club in Hong Kong.

The Ba native, who attended Suva Grammar School, said he was proud to host such world-class athletes from Fiji and wished them all the best in their upcoming matches.

Durutalo previously played Super Rugby for the Sunwolves during the 2016 season, as well as in England’s Premiership Cup.

He recently added another achievement to his rugby career by earning an Executive Degree in Business Administration from Oxford University.

Whenever he returns home, he also contributes to the development of rugby in Ba, supporting both the local union and grassroots programs.

The Fiji Men's 7s side will open their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Germany at 5.11pm next Friday, they will then take on Great Britain at 8.21pm, before playing France at 4.13pm Saturday.

The Men's cup quarter-finals start at 10.03pm Saturday, with the Cup semi-finals at 6pm Sunday and the Cup final at 11.14pm.

Series champions South Africa are in Pool A with Argentina, Spain, and Uruguay, while Pool C has Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Kenya.
