Drua ready to defend Lautoka fortress as Moana Pasifika roll into town
The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will launch their 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific campaign with a fiery Pacific showdown against Moana Pasifika on Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The two sides have crossed paths six times, with the Drua holding the upper hand, winning four encounters to Moana Pasifika’s two.

The Drua will be looking to put Moana Pasifika to the sword at what has become one of Super Rugby Pacific’s toughest hunting grounds.

Nicknamed the Fortress, Churchill Park has been a stronghold for the Drua, who have claimed victory in 10 of their last 12 matches at the venue.

Fuelled by the passionate Lautoka crowd and familiar conditions, the Drua are primed to make an early statement and send a clear warning to the rest of the competition.

The side will lean heavily on their physical forward pack while unleashing their trademark flair, fast hands and offloading game, a combination that has proven lethal at home.

The Drua are expected to name their matchday 23 on Wednesday, with Moana Pasifika set to arrive in to the country on Thursday.

The Fijian Drua will play Moana Pasifika at 3.35pm Saturday.

In other games, the Highlanders host the Crusaders at 6.05pm Friday, the Waratahs meet the Reds at 8.35pm Friday, the Blues face the Chiefs at 6.05pm Saturday while the Force play the Brumbies at 8.35pm.
