Devo Babas Marist 7s campaign on track

Devo Babas have defeated Ba River 19-0 in the elimination round this morning to keep their 50th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s title hopes alive.


They have been consistent throughout the tournament, winning all their matches on Day 1.


In other elimination results, St Gabriel Nakavika beat Bula Brothers 12-5, Village Boys thumped Namara Brothers 27-5, Ravuka Sharks thrashed Island Boys 34-0, and Yaro Chiefs defeated Mosimosi Draubuta 28-5.


Meanwhile, Devo Young Babas are through to the finals after edging Axelerate Aflame Brothers 14-12, while Namara Brothers is currently playing Loloma Heights in the second U21 semi-finals.


Defending women’s champions Fresh’et Navy will face Ezers Women at 12.09pm in the first semi-final, while Police will meet Kasabias Sinukakala Amazon at 12.24pm in the second semi-final.
