Cokanauto sets new Sub-Junior Boys Long Jump record

Jhaire Cokanauto of Queen Victoria School has set a new Sub-Junior Boys Long Jump record on Day 1 of the Coca-Cola Games 2026 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Cokanauto produced a winning jump measuring 6.26 metres, breaking the previous record of 6.12 metres set last year by Opeti Tikoisuva. 

Bartholomew Kamali of Marist Brothers High School claimed silver with a jump measuring 5.85 metres, while Tobias Tiko of Jai Narayan College secured bronze with a best leap measuring 5.71 metres.
