New Zealand veteran Codie Taylor has been dropped from the starting XV, with Asafo Aumua to start at hooker for the All Blacks’ third Test against South Africa this Sunday.
Lock Sam Darry and flanker Peter Lakai have also been brought into the starting pack as New Zealand look to take the lead in the four-Test series, which is currently locked at 1-1.
The backline remains unchanged following the All Blacks’ 33-26 defeat to the Springboks in Cape Town last week.
Wallace Sititi is named among the reserves as an impact loose forward and will have his first opportunity to feature in the series.
Lock Tupou Vaa’i will also reach a personal milestone, earning his 50th Test cap for the All Blacks.
All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie says the team understands the importance of Saturday’s clash.
Meanwhile, South Africa named their team on Monday, with Cheslin Kolbe replacing the injured Damian Willemse at fullback and Kurt-Lee Arendse coming into the starting line-up on the wing.
New Zealand will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat and secure a crucial victory as they look to gain the upper hand in the series.
The third All Blacks vs South Africa test will be held this Sunday at 3.10am in Johannesburg.
