Cinavilakeba gets first gold medal for Marist in the Sub-Junior Boys Shot Put

George Cinavilakeba claimed the first gold medal for Marist Brothers High School in the 2026 Coca Cola Games Junior Boys Shot Put after a winning throw of 15.16 metres.

Cinavilakeba says that this marks his second gold medal for the school, having also secured gold last year in the Sub-Junior Grade.

The 15-year-old says the victory reflects the value of hard work and admits he was emotional after the event.

He says he was ranked second going into the final round, and he delivered a winning throw on his last attempt.

He also expressed gratitude to God for his achievement.

He dedicated the win to his parents and coaches.

Gladden Semesi of Swami Vivekananda College took the silver medal while Soane Henry claimed bronze.
