The Chiefs will be hoping to end their three-year Super Rugby Pacific final drought when they take on the Hurricanes tonight in Wellington.

The Chiefs reached the Super Rugby Pacific finals in 2023, 2024 and 2025 but were unsuccessful on all three occasions.

That record will undoubtedly be in the back of the players' minds, but they can take confidence from their victory over the Hurricanes earlier this season, as well as their win against the defending champions, the Crusaders, in last week's semi-final.

The last time the Chiefs lifted the Super Rugby title was in 2013 when they defeated the Brumbies 27-22.

The Chiefs and Hurricanes have met 48 times, with the Chiefs winning 22 of those encounters.

The last time the two sides met was on April 18 this year, when the Chiefs secured a 22-17 victory.

The Chiefs will face the Hurricanes at 7.05 tonight.
