Chand indicates guilty plea to charge of threatening mother
The man convicted of striking his father with a cane knife has indicated that he will plead guilty to a charge of criminal intimidation against his mother.

23-year-old Rakshay Chand previously pleaded guilty and was convicted of striking his father on the head with a cane knife.

High Court Judge Justice Usaia Ratuvili sentenced him to 16 months imprisonment, suspended for three years.

This morning, Chand indicated that he will plead guilty to a charge of criminal intimidation for allegedly threatening to stab his mother.

The matter has been adjourned to this Friday for plea.
