Celine Dion's Grinch transformation is the ultimate holiday gift

Celine Dion's Grinch transformation is the ultimate holiday gift

Leave it to Celine Dion to show the Grinch the power of love.

The "These Are Special Times" singer put her comedic chops on display as she delivered a hilarious take on the holiday anti-hero, borrowing from fellow Canadian Jim Carrey’s iconic performance in the 2000 family film "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".

Dressed in a furry green costume with the Grinch’s full face make-up, along with a Santa Claus-inspired coat and hat, the 57-year-old struck the perfect note as she recited one of the movie’s most memorable scenes in an Instagram video, offering her own spin on the Dr. Seuss character while running through his famously busy calendar.

“The nerve of those Whos, inviting me down there on such short notice,” Céline says as she sits by an open fire with her dog on her lap, adding that even if she wanted to go, her schedule would not allow it.

The Grammy winner went on to list various commitments in her diary, including exercising her voice, scrolling TikTok in bed endlessly, and solving world hunger, but staying true to the Grinch’s nature, she deadpanned, “Tell no one.”

And in a stylistic choice only Celine could pull off, she also sang sections of her 1996 single "All By Myself," highlighting the notoriously grumpy creature’s solitary lifestyle.
