Burger King Fiji has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Fiji Rugby by coming on board as the Associate Sponsor of the Skipper XV for the highly anticipated warm-up match against the Fijian Drua on the 6th of next month.

This marks another significant milestone in the relationship between the two organizations, and the match will see the nation’s top provincial talent, selected from this year’s Skipper Cup competition, take on the professional might of the Fijian Drua in what promises to be a thrilling and iconic pre-season fixture for local rugby fans.

FRU says as part of the partnership, Burger King Fiji will receive dual-sleeve branding on the Skipper XV playing jersey, securing premium branding positions on both sleeves for the match.

They say the sponsorship agreement further reinforces Burger King Fiji’s growing commitment to the development of Fijian rugby.

Burger King Fiji General Manager Kavinesh Reddy says rugby is an integral part of Fiji’s national identity, and they remains firmly committed to supporting Fiji Rugby and the continued development of the sport at all levels.

He says their decision to support the Skipper XV in this landmark fixture against the Fijian Drua reflects the strength of their partnership with Fiji Rugby and their enduring confidence in the depth, quality, and future of local rugby talent.

Fiji Rugby CEO Koli Sewabu welcomed the continued support, saying they are extremely grateful for Burger King Fiji’s ongoing commitment to Fiji Rugby and are proud to see them deepen that partnership by backing the Skipper XV for this historic match against the Fijian Drua.

He says this partnership reflects strong corporate confidence in their domestic competitions and in the player pathways that continue to produce world-class talent for Fiji.

Sewabu says the Skipper Cup remains the heartbeat of our domestic game, and with partners like Burger King Fiji, they can continue to strengthen opportunities for our players and deliver world-class events for the fans.

The Skipper XV will take on the Fijian Drua at 3pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
