Bula FC looking to build on progress against Auckland FC - Auvray

Bula FC looking to build on progress against Auckland FC - Auvray

Extra Bula FC head coach Stephane Auvray says the team will be looking to build on their growing chemistry and improved game management as they head into today’s Round 6 Leaders Group clash of the OFC Pro League against Auckland FC.

Auvray says today’s encounter will be a tougher challenge for his side as they continue their campaign.

He says the team has made clear progress since the start of the competition, especially in game management, and now better understands its strengths and weaknesses.

He says the focus has been on playing to their strengths, with strong emphasis on working for each other as a unit.

The coach adds that the side has become very difficult to break down defensively, but is still on a learning curve.

He says while there will be ups and downs, the players must stay focused and continue to develop without dwelling too much on individual results.

Bula FC will face Auckland FC at 2.30pm, while South Melbourne FC will take on South Island United at 6.30pm. Both matches will be played at Eden Park.

The teams that finish in the top three of the Leaders Group will qualify for the semi-finals, while the fourth-placed team will play against the winner of the Challengers Group, where the bottom four teams have competed against each other.

The semi-finals will be held on 20th May at the GO Media Stadium, and the final will be played on 24th May at Eden Park.

The OFC Pro League will also determine who represents Oceania at the annual FIFA Intercontinental Cup™ and the quadrennial FIFA Club World Cup™.
