Extra Bula FC faces a tough challenge against South Melbourne FC in Round 6 of the OFC Pro League Leaders Group after failing to score a goal in the Leaders Group so far.
The side heads into the clash following a 2-0 loss to Auckland FC in their previous match and a 1-0 defeat to South Island United FC in their opening game.
Defender Adam Supyk admitted that costly mistakes proved the difference against Auckland FC.
Supyk says the side was disappointed with the result but can still take positives from the performance heading into their final group match.
He also thanked the large number of supporters who turned out and urged them to continue backing the team.
Bula FC will take on South Melbourne FC at 3pm today at Eden Park, while South Island United faces Auckland FC at 7pm.
South Melbourne FC has already secured a semi-final spot and currently leads the Leaders Group standings. Auckland FC sits second, South Island United is third, while Bula FC remains at the bottom of the table.
Under the competition format, the top three teams from the Leaders Group will qualify for the semi-finals, while the fourth-placed side will play the winner of the Challengers Group, which features the bottom four teams.
The semi-finals are scheduled for 20th May at GO Media Stadium, with the final set to be played on 24th May at Eden Park.
The OFC Pro League will also determine Oceania’s representative for the annual FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the quadrennial FIFA Club World Cup.
