Ba villagers and businesses affected by severe flooding - Amin

Businessman and Ba Chamber of Commerce Treasurer, Anil Amin confirms Ba Town has sustained damaged to infrastructure, and businesses have faced a lot of damage due to severe flooding experienced in the town area.

Amin has told fijivillage News that the Ba market area was under about 6 feet of water, and this affected a lot of businesses in the area.

The villages in Ba have also not been spared.

Amin says many villagers have been in Votua, Nasolo, Yalalevu and Toge as flood waters entered their villages.

The Nadi Weather Office confirms a flash flood warning is in force for whole of Viti Levu while a flash flood alert remains in force for the whole of Vanua Levu. 

Amin says while the flood waters have receded, they anticipate further flooding due to the flood and heavy rain warnings in place.
