Alleged wife killer Senikaucava refuses to give DNA evidence

Taione Senikaucava, who allegedly murdered his wife following a heated argument in Veisari on the 6th of this month, has refused to provide DNA evidence.

Police Prosecutor John Tupua informed Magistrate Yogesh Prasad that the Criminal Investigation Department had requested Senikaucava’s consent to obtain DNA evidence.

Magistrate Prasad says that Senikaucava has the right to remain silent.

Senikaucava is charged with one count of murder.

He is now being represented by the Legal Aid Commission.

The matter has been adjourned to the 31st of December.

The case has not yet been transferred to the High Court due to the legal vacation.
