The All Blacks defeated the Wallabies 50-19 in the first Bledisloe Cup Test, extending their remarkable unbeaten record at Eden Park to 54 Tests.
The New Zealand side entered the match looking to bounce back after losing their series 3-1 in South Africa, while Australia arrived unbeaten under new head coach Les Kiss.
All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie named Damian McKenzie at first five-eighth, with Beauden Barrett starting at fullback, following injuries to Ruben Love and Richie Mo’unga earlier in the week.
New Zealand scored seven tries to Australia's three in a dominant performance, although the home side could have added to its tally.
Will Jordan focused on creating opportunities for his teammates rather than taking them himself, before scoring a late try to put the finishing touch on the victory.Replacement prop Pasilio Tosi also appeared to have scored a rare try, but the effort was ruled out because of an earlier knock-on.
Despite trailing by just three points at halftime, with New Zealand leading 17-14, the Wallabies struggled to keep pace in the second half as the All Blacks pulled away to secure a convincing win.
The result means Australia's long wait to reclaim the Bledisloe Cup continues.
The Wallabies last held the trophy in 2002 before losing it in 2003, and they have yet to win it back.
New Zealand's victory further strengthens its impressive record at Eden Park.
The All Blacks will now their focus to next Saturday where they will meet the Wallabies at 5pm at Accor Stadium in Sydney.
