For current Fiji Airways Men's National 7s scrum-half Terio Tamani, wearing the Kadavu Rugby Union jersey has always been more than a goal, it has been a dream.
The Kadavu Rugby Union says that earlier this year, they had looked forward to seeing Tamani in their starting line-up for the Koroturaga Cup quarter-final against Queen Victoria School Old Boys.
They say circumstances beyond their control prevented him from taking the field.
The Union says that today, that dream finally becomes a reality.
Tamani will proudly wear the No. 9 jersey for Kadavu as they face Nadi in their opening Skipper Cup match.
They say this milestone is a testament to his patience, perseverance, hard work and unwavering dedication to the game.
Kadavu will take on Nadi in round one of the Skipper Cup at King Charles Park in Nadi at 11am today.
In other matches, Rewa will face Naitasiri at the Burebasaga Ground at 11am, while Lautoka will host Nadroga at Churchill Park, also at 11am.
Meanwhile, Suva edged Ba 28-26 yesterday.
