17-year-old David Young came in first place in the heats of the 50-metres Breastroke with a time of 30.76 seconds at the Commonwealth Games, however, it was not enough to book him a place in the next round.

Teammate Epeli Rabua came fourth in the same event.

The Lawn bowling team of Martin Fong, David Aitcheson and Semesa Naiseruvati went down 13-26 against Australia in the Men's triples semi final, while Fiji also lost to South Africa 16-14 in the Women's Fours semi finals.

Meanwhile, Team Fiji boxer, Jone Davule lost to Namibia in Round 16 of the Featherweight division.
