President of the SODELPA Youth Forum Ben Daveta and Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama

President of the SODELPA Youth Forum, Ben Daveta says the Young SODELPA welcome the return of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama this morning after receiving medical treatment in Australia.

Daveta says they recognise that national leadership is an intensive responsibility bestowed upon those who have been elected to office by the people.

He says as we welcome Prime Minister Bainimarama back into the country, Young SODELPA urges our leaders that while their sacred duty to the nation is crucial, it is also important that they consider the significance of their health and well-being.

Daveta says the SODELPA Youth wish the Prime Minister full recovery and they are certain that his family are delighted to have him back home.

Prime Minister Bainimarama arrived from Melbourne on a flight early this morning.

He was welcomed by Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

The Prime Minister has thanked everyone for their prayers.

He says there is no better feeling than coming home to the family he loves and the people he is privileged to lead.

Bainimarama adds safe to say he knows a thing or two about making a recovery and his mission here at home is to keep Fiji’s going strong.
