The Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says people can continue to target his office on social media all they want however he will continue to do his work as required under the law.
While speaking during the Elections Workshop for the Media conducted by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, Saneem says people are now setting up fake profiles on facebook and they have also gone to the extent of designing screenshots of fake messages by his brother.
He says his family has also been threatened.
Saneem says the Fijian Elections Office will focus on the registered voters who turn up to vote rather than focusing on the people setting up numerous fake facebook profiles to attack the office.
