An investigation is underway following the alleged murder of a Year 9 student at her home in Namara, Labasa last night.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the victim's landlord heard her scream for help and upon checking on her, discovered her lying near the front door with visible stab wounds.
She says the victim was home alone as her mother was yet to return from work.
Naisoro says crime officers are investigating the matter.
