A Year 9 student has died following a tragic road accident in Davota, Tavua yesterday.
Police say the boy was travelling in a bus from Waikubukubu to Tavua Town, and upon reaching a designated stop, he got off to make room for other passengers to disembark.
It is alleged that when the bus started to move, the boy ran after it, slipped and was run over by the bus.
His body has been conveyed to the Tavua Hospital Mortuary and is awaiting a post mortem examination as police investigations continue.
