Year 2 student overcharged on bus fare for the past 3 weeks

A Year 2 student who travels from World Harvest Centre in Kinoya to CMF Primary School in Khalsa Road which is in Stage 1, is being charged the Stage 2 bus fare for the past 3 weeks.

The parent of the student has raised the issue with Fijivillage and has also provided the receipts issued by the driver of a George Transport Limited bus.

When contacted by Fijivillage, George Transport Limited Manager, Nitnesh Prasad says that they were not aware of the incident.

He says that they will be talking to the driver of the bus today.

Prasad says that they will refund the parent their child’s fare with the provision of the receipts.

He says that their drivers have been trained on the use of the e-ticketing system adding that children and adults alike must tell the driver their destination and check the stages before they tap their e-transport card.

Parents are also advised to check the receipts issued to their children.
