The continuous rain around Viti Levu has caused flooding in Yaladro Road, Yasiyasi, Tavualevu Village, Yaqara, Viti Vanua and Rabulu areas in Tavua.
Speaking to fijivillage News, Viti Vanua Advisory Councillor, Vinod Kumar says they have been experiencing heavy rain since 8pm yesterday and the Viti Vanua bridge is closed due to flooding.
Kumar says the flood water level is rising.
The Advisory Councillor says Rabulu Sanatan Primary School is open for the people of Tavua as an evacuation centre.
He further says that no children have been seen near the flooded areas and he is reminding parents and guardians to keep a watch on their children.
