Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Tianjin, underscoring growing Asian cooperation as U.S. tariffs strain relations.

Hindustan times stated that in their first meeting in nearly a year, Xi and Modi signaled a diplomatic reset after the 2020 border clashes, stressing the importance of stable relations for regional and global stability.

Modi highlighted agreements on border management and the resumption of direct flights, while Xi called for closer partnership between the two nations, describing it as vital for global transformation.
