The Fiji Roads Authority says works on Kings Road at Matanikorovatu Junction near Muanikoso is in progress.
General Manager Network Operations and Maintenance Aram Goes says the kerb lane was completed yesterday and the fast lane will be completed by today weather permitting.
Motorists have raised concerns about the traffic jam being created by the bad road conditions along that junction.
All vehicles slow down as they approach the area and this is causing traffic to build up until Nasole during peak traffic periods.
