Work on $2.35m Valelevu Police Station to start early March next year

The work on the new $2.35 million Valelevu Police Station is expected to start early March next year.

This was highlighted at the Capital Project Implementation workshop by the Fiji Police Force.

The Force has called for a tender through the Fiji Procurement office which is currently being evaluated.

The tender is expected to be forwarded for vetting to the Solicitor General's Office in late February next year.

According to the Force, the Valelevu Police Station will be used as the model of the construction of other police stations in other divisions which are Labasa, Nadi and Lautoka police station.

The current Valelevu police station and two additional quarters will be demolished which are valued at $80,000.

The work on the new valelevu police station is expected to finish in September next year.

The Valelevu Police station was constructed in 1977.
