A 26-year-old tertiary student has been rescued by a team from Lami Police Station and the National Fire Authority after getting injured on the muddy trails of Mount Korobaba.

Police say it is alleged that the woman fell and injured her thigh during a hiking trip with her three colleagues last Saturday.

A distress call was received by the Police Command and Coordination Center from one of the hiking members, and a team of police, together with NFA, executed rescue and located them at the middle foot track of Mount Korobaba.

Police say the woman was conveyed to Lami Health Centre for medical attention and later sent home.
