Melika Roro

A woman living with a disability Melika Roro says it is difficult to make ends meet as she is not able to find employment after the horrors of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roro says she was rejected by her family members as she had no form of employment.

She adds the social welfare assistance she is receiving from the government is not enough as the cost of living is too high.

Roro says it is difficult to convince employers to give her a job because they see her disability and don't recognize the abilities she has.

She adds she is thankful to Habitat for Humanity Fiji as they built her family home in Kalekana, Lami and she is looking for a job to buy basic items, a stove and also pay for her electricity.

If you would like to assist Melika or get her a job, you can call her on 7673958. You can get these details on our Hands Across Fiji section of our website, fijivillage.
