Woman killed in Nakasi road accident

A 49-year-old woman has died in a horrific road accident in Nakasi.

Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri says the woman was walking along Vishnu Deo road around 7 last night when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old man.

She was rushed to hospital however was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver is in police custody.
