A woman in her 50s has died after allegedly sustaining injuries in an accident along the Queen’s Highway yesterday.
Police say she was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband.
It is alleged that her husband lost control of the car, causing it to veer off the road and hit a lamppost.
Police say the woman was rushed to the CWM Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, while her husband remains in critical condition.
The national road death toll now stands at 20, compared to 19 for the same period last year.
