A woman from Nawaicoba in Nadi has been charged for allegedly giving false information to a public servant about her husband threatening to assault her.
She had made the claim on Facebook and that post was widely shared.
The 25-year-old also claimed Police had refused to assist her with her case.
She has been charged with one count of giving false information to a public servant and will be produced in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
