A woman and a boy died in an accident along the Kings Highway near Verata in Nausori after 1 o’clock this morning.
Police say the driver allegedly lost control of the car while overtaking a truck and that caused it to veer off the road and hit a post.
According to Police, the woman died at the scene while the boy was rushed to the Nausori Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the driver is in custody.
They are also looking for another man who was travelling in the vehicle.
Police say that man had brought the child to the Nausori Health Centre.
They know his identity and continue to search for him this morning.
