The 31-14 victory over Samoa this morning has put a lot of confidence in the Digicel Fiji Sevens team going into the quarter-finals.
In their earlier pool games Fiji managed to outclass Argentina by 40-7 and Fiji demolished the hosts the United Arab Emirates by 43-0.
Fiji outclassed the Samoan outfit in a one way traffic and continued its brilliant performance from the Australia Sevens last week.
But the task will get tougher from tonight when elimination round starts.
Fiji coach Alifereti Dere said he is aware of the danger teams like Australia and New Zealand will pose to Fiji tonight.
Dere added there will be some changes going into the quarters.
In the results of other pool matches this morning, New Zealand lost to South Africa 21-5, Wales demolished Australia 33-14 while France lost to England 29-12.
In another match, crowd favorites, Kenya was humiliated by Zimbabwe 21-5.
The cup quarter finals start at 8.08pm where Fiji will play Australia, followed by England & New Zealand match at 8.32pm then Wales and Argentina at 8.54pm while the last quarter final will be between South Africa against France at 9.16pm.
The cup semi-finals will start 2.02am tomorrow while the cup final will start at 5.05am tomorrow.
