We've held constructive talks with athlete representatives regarding COVID-19 crisis - International Olympic Committee
Tokyo Olympics is still scheduled to begin on 24th of July

The International Olympic Committee says it has held constructive talks with athlete representatives regarding the coronavirus crisis.

President Thomas Bach says they have had a really great discussion with 220 athlete representatives from all around the world and it was very constructive.

Bach admitted that he was confronted with many questions but says that everybody realised that they still have more than four months to go until Tokyo 2020.

The Tokyo Olympics is still scheduled to begin on 24th of July despite the cancellation of other sports events.
