Wet weekend forecasted
Expect a wet weekend and people living in low lying areas need to take necessary precaution as heavy rain can result in flash flooding.

A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain is slowly moving over the Fiji Group.

A Nadi Weather Office Forecaster Amit Singh said that many parts of Fiji will expect rain and few squally thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls at times.

Rain is expected to start easing from Sunday.

Meanwhile, three Irish crossings in Naitasiri are closed to all traffic - Waima, Waila and Vatuwaqa crossings.

Viria, Waitakala and Nakuta crossings are closed.

Waimalua in Serea is also closed and Wainikovu crossings are closed.

Roads and crossings in Navua that were under water and closed yesterday are now open.

The Queens Highway is also open.
