Weightlifting Fiji have set their focus on ensuring Pacific Games triple gold medalist and weightlifter Taniela Rainibogi qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Weightlifting Fiji President Della Shaw Elder says Rainibogi has two more qualifying events next month and in March.

Shaw says the 26-year-old will compete in the qualifying events in New Zealand next month and Phuket, Thailand, in March.

She adds the team has not rested since their last competition on the 23rd of December, 2023, and they have only rested when the training venue is closed.
