National Men’s 7s coach Osea Kolinisau says they will be focusing a lot on their kick offs and restarts

Kolinisau says they will be playing to their strengths and that is to contest the kick offs as they have quite a number of players that can contest for the ball.

He says this is after realising that other teams are starting to attack the kick offs to try and deny them possession.

The 7s coach says they are not only focusing on the aerial balls, but also on their defensive shape as well.

He says that is something they want to pride themselves on and that is their defence.

Kolinisau will name the final 13-member squad once they move to the Games village this week.

Fiji will face Uruguay at 3am next Thursday in their first match, they will then take on the USA at 6.30am on the same day, before playing hosts France at 1.30am next Friday in their final pool match.

The Men’s quarter finals will kick off at 7am next Friday.

The semi finals will kick off at 1.30am next Sunday and the final will be at 5.45am.
