Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Zed Seselja

The Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Zed Seselja says they stand ready to continue to work with Fiji when it comes to doses going forward.

Australia has so far provided more than a million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines to Fiji which has helped to vaccinate majority of the adult target population in Fiji.

When asked by fijivillage on plans to provide booster doses to Fiji, Seselja says they see it as a really important responsibility.

He further says more than 91.4% of the adult target population being fully vaccinated is an extraordinary number.

Seselja adds booster shots have obviously become very important and in Australia they have shortened the period as to when people can get booster shots.

Since the pandemic started, Australia has also provided AUD$168.5 million in financial support to Fiji.
